As SEAMO steps into the new year, we’re excited to introduce Natalie Shaw, our new Executive Assistant and Events Officer. A Queen’s University alumna and Kingston native, Natalie brings a rich background in strategic planning, project management, and business relations from higher education, finance, and startup sectors.

“I’m Natalie, but most people call me Nat,” she shares. “SEAMO’s mission to support and advance healthcare really drew me in. The role of Executive Assistant and Events Officer aligns perfectly with my passion for organization and creating impactful experiences.”

In her new role, Natalie will support SEAMO’s executive team and coordinate events that foster collaboration and engagement across the organization. From streamlining administrative processes to planning events that bring SEAMO members together, Natalie’s focus is on enhancing communication and ensuring operations run smoothly.

“By handling the behind-the-scenes logistics, I hope to free up time for SEAMO’s physicians and members to focus on larger projects,” she explains. “I’m most excited to get to know the team and contribute to upcoming events that support SEAMO’s initiatives.”

When she’s not organizing events or optimizing schedules, Natalie’s creativity takes another form. “I love building LEGO sets – architectural pieces from different countries, the Floral collection, and anything MARVEL related. I’m currently working on the Infinity Gauntlet. #iykyk,” she laughs.

Natalie’s productivity secret? “Pomodoro method and time blocking – and always having a list. Always!”

As she settles into her new position, Natalie is eager to dive into SEAMO’s operations, connect with colleagues, and identify opportunities to enhance day-to-day processes.

One surprising fact? “I’ve been learning Dutch for over a year now! Spreekt iemand ook Nederlands?”

Please join us in welcoming Natalie to SEAMO! We look forward to the energy and expertise she brings to the team.

Get to know the interim leaders steering SEAMO into an exciting new chapter. From their vision for SEAMO’s future to their unique hobbies (building kayaks, anyone?), Dr. Stephen Vanner and Mr. Patrick Legresley bring a wealth of expertise and energy to their roles.

We’re excited to introduce Behrouz (Behr) Ehsani, SEAMO’s new Senior Data Analyst! With a rich 17-year background in statistics, healthcare data, and biostatistics, Behr is set to bring invaluable insights to our SEAMO physicians. From data quality checks to predictive modeling, his work will support smarter decision-making and enhanced patient care.
