Introducing Two New eConsult Groups in the Southeast

The SEAMO Digital Health team is excited to announce the launch of 2 new eConsult groups for Southeast providers to access!  

Learn more about these new groups: 

SE Regional Geriatrics - Frailty Management group  
- Consultative service for older adults with clinical frailty (functional dependence due to an accumulation of challenges from multiple factors including polypharmacy, physical, medical, and/or cognitive causes). The goal of this group is to provide timely focused advice to questions re: frail older adults. Complex patients who require comprehensive assessments would be better served by a referral to the Geriatric Medicine clinic.
SE Region Bariatric Medicine group 
- Consultative services for post-op bariatric surgery patients with complications, such as nutrient deficiencies, medication absorption issues, etc. Also available for assistance in the pharmacologic management of obesity.

Vascular Surgery Group Enhances Patient Care Through eConsults

The Vascular Surgery eConsult group is transforming patient care across the vast Southeast region by harnessing the power of eConsult services. Spearheaded by Drs. David Zelt and Michael Yacob, this initiative allows primary care providers (PCPs) to consult with vascular specialists remotely, minimizing the need for in-person appointments and ensuring patients receive timely care without the burden of long-distance travel.
