On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, SEAMO staff and physicians gathered at Grant Hall to celebrate a significant milestone: the 30th Anniversary of SEAMO. Over 100 esteemed guests, including SEAMO founder Duncan Sinclair, past CEOs, and a host of SEAMO physicians, came together for an evening that blended nostalgia with forward-looking enthusiasm.

The event began with a reception that set the stage for lively conversations and reminiscences about SEAMO’s journey. Jane Philpott, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and current CEO of SEAMO, officially opened the festivities with a warm welcome, expressing gratitude to SEAMO physicians and partners for their dedication to advancing healthcare in our community.

A highlight of the evening was the performance by “Old Docs, New Tricks,” a band composed of SEAMO physicians. Their music brought incredible energy and joy to the celebration, making it an unforgettable evening for everyone.

Reflecting on the night, Jane Philpott remarked, "It was heartwarming to see SEAMO physicians come together to celebrate this special occasion. Despite the heat, the energy and camaraderie were overwhelming, reminding us that SEAMO is such an outstanding community."

The night was more than a celebration of three decades of SEAMO—it was a testament to the unwavering dedication and collaborative spirit of SEAMO’s physicians, staff, and supporters. As we reflect on the evening, we are reminded that SEAMO’s legacy of innovation continues to thrive, pushing us towards a future of possibilities.
